Volunteer & Internship Program

Volunteer Opportunity

The Juvenile Division has many opportunities for community volunteers to help coordinate or facilitate our programs. If you would be interested in any helping kids, and have desire to make this happen, you can volunteer!

Internship Opportunity

Jasper County Juvenile Division is committed to providing a meaningful internship for college students interested in juvenile justice. Participation in our internship program will enable you to acquire lifelong skills and put you in a better position to serve in the public sector. Our internship program is designed to provide an opportunity for students to connect theory with practice and serve as a training opportunity for prospective social workers and criminal justice professionals. The purpose is to develop and retain innovative individuals who desire to make a difference in the youth. We also want students to gain practical experience to build a solid foundation for the future. Several students who have volunteered as interns with our office have gone on to work as Deputy Juvenile Officers, Detention Staff, or Alternative School Specialists.

If you are interested in volunteering or completing an internship with the Juvenile Office, please fill out the application below and contact us at 417-625-4300. We look forward to hearing from you.
